HIGH, Walter Frank (Wally Jr.) - On January 2, 2008, surrounded by family and loved ones, Wally High peacefully began the next leg of his journey.
Often referred to as " The Unofficial Mayor of Kingston", Wally was a founding father of A Joe Show and a dynamic member of the Kingston Entertainment scene. He was a connoiseur of life, and an avid lover of motorcycles and the great City of Kingston. Wally touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Wally is survived by his cherished mother Effie Mae, and beloved siblings Bill and Irene High, Jane High and Diana and Mervin Leonard. Wally was the adored uncle of Elaine (Bob), Scott (DeeDee), Brad (Tracy), Marni (Trevor), Angela (Paul), Cal, Luke, and Doug. Wally was a very devoted great uncle to Courtney, Marshal, Rob, Delaina, Tori, Kasey and Ojoe. Wally is also survived by his daughter Auralia, and fondly remembered by many close and dear friends. Wally has joined his dear father Walter Sr. who left us July 18, 2000.
Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, CATARAQUI CHAPEL (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston) on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Wally's life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Cathedral Church of St. George (King St. East at Johnson St., Kingston) Interment to follow at the Harrowsmith Cemetery. Donations in Wally's honour can be made to Camp Trillium (Garratt's Island) or to the Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library, Kingston Branch, for the purchase of new Instruments.
